Dn reflected back to the incident that ended a promising career in command.   How long had it been?  Dn quickly did the calculation; almost 200 years by the reckoning of this new planet - quite a bit longer than the natives' lifespan, so far as they had determined.

Since then it had been odd jobs like Scanner Tech on various long-duration missions.  Dn looked down; there was hardly any blue left in the skin - probably only 50 to 100 of the Earth years left before the end.

Life just didn't seem to have the same intensity.  Perhaps that's why childish humor had crept into Dn's daily routine.  Still, the job was serious.  The scanning was required by rule, and for all Dn knew, was actually important to completing the process of TransMogrification™.

Dn had never been through the process.   Would this be the mission that changed that?

Yes - this has been done before:

Mature Content

The major difference here is a much wider camera angle (8.5mm focal length vs. the 17mm of the earlier one) and different lighting - mostly darker.  You do get to see quite a bit more with this view.  Hope it's enjoyable.

This is ultimately targeted for the Oculus Rift using LiveViewRift.  If anyone is interested in seeing that, feel free to leave a note here.

As always - I recommend 1080p HD, full screen - close,  headphones, and (see warning above) cranked up!

Ha - that was actually my first thought - that Dn would bang the side of the scanner with "its" hand.   I think the skeleton scan makes  a bit more sense  - but hopefully still a bit funny.

Thanks for noticing!

The SFX are uberHollywood....Just !!!!
And I really do like the subdued lighting (Bit like Original/New Dr Who>>> White polystyrene vs Dark industrial)
Only just realised that all of your characters are fully animated even when off screen  .... Caught a furtive glimpse of the "lovely" moving about even though we weren't meant to be looking at her...
Now that is TRUE DEDICATION!

Thank you sir!  Glad you liked the lighting - your suggestions were a big part of that.

Not only are they all moving - hell, they're all breathing!        (and at different rates!)

Those extra glimpses are one of my favorite things about the wide-angle rendering.

Thanks!

Yeah, a bit of see-through fun - but all the way to the skeleton.
