Description --
The wannabe handler had been rather frustrated with the large beast. Previously after the first couple of days of Odyn adjusting to his new home, James had pulled out some of his father's old tack in an attempt to get the male used to the equipment. To no avail, however, did James manage to get anywhere close to the toko with the old supplies he had found. He had tried for the course of two days to situate the beast with the fabric saddle Β and old leather bridle. This patience, however, was only met with the stubbornness of the brute.
After giving up for a majority of the first week, James had thought of a secondary tactic. Breaking him. /It's just like a horse,/ he had thought. Boy, was he wrong.Β
Odysseus had been asleep when James managed to get into the home made corral, careful not the break the already cracking ice below his thick boots. He had gotten close to the beast who had been lying upon his stomach, head pressed between thick sprung paws. The handler lifted his right leg over and flopped onto the beast only to be greeted by a throaty growl and a harsh rise. James had almost fallen off from this quick advance, but gripped the neck fur that bristled below his callused fingers.
The toko had let out a grunt, body sailing itself forward full throttle as it collided with the snow. James, screaming much like a woman would, clung for dear life onto the mane of the beast. He had been thrown back and forth for several minutes (which seemed like eternity) before he was bucked forward and tossed over the head of Odyn. The tokota had howled a warning, rushed towards the man, and pushed him once more onto his back. He had only stopped when James sheilded his own face, laughing and crying hystarically. The tokota had stood with his head low, tail risen and body heaving out soft huffy breaths before James made an attempt to get up. He was only shoved back down by Odysseus once more, as though the toko was playing a game with him.
This type of "breaking" continued for the next several days.
