“Deep in the heart of the Vlana resides a mysterious dog known by the name Cecil. He comes and goes as he pleases, never lingering around folk for too long lest he’s in need of something or someone is in need of him. His actual residence is unknown, though some assume he has a den up in the mountains of the forest that is hidden from most others, save for a select, special few. Those who have met Cecil have little ill to speak of in regards to his persona. He’s calm and collected, wearing the face of someone who’s heard the stories and taken them to heart. He acts according to a code. What code is unknown, but it keeps him civil and willing to help-- if one is willing to pay. While he might be considered a mercenary to some, he’s often left alone in regards to how he conducts his work so long as it doesn’t harm those he’s hired by.

Cecil has little desire for power or control it seems. What he does is for him and him alone- the items he earns, the money he collects, all of it winds up in his personal possession and rarely leaves it. An isolationist, Cecil doesn’t often keep himself around long enough to entertain questions or respond to the prying eyes and eager ears of folk who meet him. He may spin a tale or offer advice for the surrounding area, but nothing ever delves further or more personal than his name and travels.

Despite this aura of secrecy and distrust for most, Cecil will not hesitate to inform the opposing party of his power if they drive him to a state of frustration or anger. He’s confident and aware of his skill, and those who attempt to underhand his survival and efforts thus far are far more likely to meet his teeth than his hand. ”
