She isn't exactly what some would call 'beautiful' compared to most other she-wolves, but she has her own endearing look, which includes her scruffy chin and front fangs, which stick just slightly from her mouth.

{ Personality }
+ Ambitious/Stubborn: Vera has a strong desire and determination to succeed, and can become a bit stubborn as she tries to do so. She doesn't really like failure, as it lies heavily within her for a long time. Only when she is absolutely positive that it is a lost cause, will she finally give up and move on with her life.

+ Independent: Vera learned how to care and manage for herself while living as a rogue, and because of this, she generally does stuff on her own, and doesn't like asking for help. Living in a pack now after years of being without one, she is still trying to adapt and learn that she doesn't need to do everything on her own now.

+ Peaceful: Vera doesn't like fighting or aggressive behaviors, and much prefers the peaceful way out. For her, violence is never the answer, though she does believe in retribution and punishment.

+ Tom-Boy: Vera doesn't care about getting dirty, or "rough-housing" around. She actually prefers to have male friends, rather than female, but isn't entirely against it; She just seems to feel more comfortable around males, unless they are the snooty type.

Birth/Juvenile:
Vera was born the only female in a litter of four, to parents Artemis and Vineva, who were the alphas of the Aripostilaus pack. She developed good relations with two of her brothers, but one--Apollo. Because he was born with a light, golden pelt, which differed from everyone else in the pack, he was soon considered a Gift from the Gods. As they aged from pups to juveniles, Apollo was to stay within the alpha's den at all times for the pack to pay patronage to him, and so Vera ended up never developing a close relationship with him like normal siblings. At first, even she considered him to be a gift from the gods, after all, everyone said so, so it must be true, right?
After a while, however, the constant praise and approval he received from the pack and their parents especially, was starting to bug her, especially as he never seemed to do anything to earn such praise. She started to grow an almost resentful attitude towards him, though such thoughts made her feel a little guilty and ashamed; If he really was a gift from the Gods, who was she to have such feelings? But still...she could never truly shake the feeling.
All that changed suddenly, when she spotted Apollo out one night, which was strange to say the least; He wasn't usually permitted out, what was he doing slinking around? Curious, she began to follow him within the shadows, and was shocked to noticed that he was leaving! Her mouth opened, as if to call for him, to demand for him to stop...but something stopped her. It was selfish, but a small part of her almost wanted him to leave. Besides, what "gift from the Gods" would just up and leave without a word anyways? Maybe him leaving would be for the best, perhaps then she and her siblings would finally be treated as though they mattered. And so, mind made up, she let him go without a word, heading back to her nest where she awaited the next morning, where the pack would realize their "gift" from the Gods had vanished without a trace.
The next morning, the pack was in utter chaos, frantic to find the light-colored male and Vera could only look on in guilt, as her parents wept over the disappearance of their most treasured son. She almost told them then, yearned to help ease their suffering, but was held back once more--What if they blamed her for not trying to stop him? And so she stayed quiet, keeping her secret locked away as her pack and parents fell into a depression.

Young Adult:
As she grew into a young adult, matters in her pack never became better; In fact, they only became worse. Eventually guilt and frustration got the better of her, and she left the pack with the sole purpose of searching for her lost brother. Only then would things go back to normal, and even though life hadn't exactly been the most preferable at that time, she was willing to do what she could to put her pack and parents at ease once more. And so, with heartfelt goodbyes with her family, she began her new journey as a rogue, determined to find and bring her brother back.
Living on her own, she was surprised to learn how enjoyable it actually was; Sure, there were times that made it rough, times that almost made her turn back with her tail tucked between her legs, but she pushed on, not willing to admit defeat just yet.
During her travels, she met up with a few interesting wolves along the way, who she asked if they'd seen a wolf that fit her brother's description. Most of the time, her efforts ended up in vain, though once in a while she would get a lead. Whether it was from her poor tracking skills, or the fact that it wasn't actually him they saw, she never did come close to finding Apollo.

Soon, months turned to years without any luck, and Vera was beginning to become restless and tired of her constant searching. She was beginning to yearn for a place to settle down, missing her home and family. But she knew she wouldn't dare go back empty-handed--She'd failed, and wasn't about to show her face there again, not while she was still guilty of letting her brother go.
Eventually, she came across the land of Lunariah, and soon enough the Vedarian pack, led by a gray female named Tessa. Something about the pack just called to her, and was grateful when the alphess allowed her to stay. As she settled in, a part of her was even glad that she never found Apollo; It was time for a fresh start, and she hopes she can get that in Veda. And so here she stays, eager to put that chapter of her life behind her and start anew.
