You may be wondering, "Hey piplupm, why are you posting Shinigami again? You've already posted her design before!" And you'd be right. But here's the thing: For the next few weeks as I gear up for Zero-One and the beginning of the Reiwa era of Riders, I'll be posting my various Heisei Rider OCs who don't have their updated artwork already posted here, together with a revised bio. Alongside them, I'll be posting their Another Rider counterpart, essentially allowing me to detail Tokey's story without actually having to write out it all out.

A young girl whose real parents abandoned her at a young age, Mai Satsuki was left to fend for herself in the big city. Thankfully, 2 boys came along and helped her out, bringing her to a kind woman named Yukina Yamakaze. The two boys, Hiiro and Ken Kiseki, were essentially her adopted children, and soon Mai was brought into the family. Living a happy life with her new family, Mai could not have ever imagined her life would turn out this nice.

Sadly, it was not to last. A few days after her 17th birthday, after discovering a secret of her foster mother’s, a group of thugs invaded her home, and killed her new mother, shortly before making short work of the three younger residents. Left to bleed out in her once safe home, Mai wished with all her might that she could’ve done something, no, that she COULD do something.

Her wish was granted, thanks to the sudden intervention of a mysterious spirit calling themselves Yurei. You see, the secret her and her brothers had discovered was 3 blank Eyecons, alongside a Proto Ulorder. Each sibling took one of the Eyecons, and left the remaining device behind. Thanks to the blanks, the souls of the siblings were placed into the Eyecons, allowing them to live on as Ghosts, and avenge their mother. Told by Yurei to gather 15 Eyecons holding the souls of legendary men and women, the 3 set out on a globetrotting adventure to revive their mom… A journey that would ultimately end in tragedy.

6 months after the 3 were revived, a new Rider sharing the name Yurei with their mysterious spirit friend appeared, destroying the Eyecons of Ken and Hiiro. Forced to watch the demise of her brothers, Mai was driven insane at not being able to save the rest of her family, barely escaping with her own Eyecon intact.

In her insanity, a conclusion came to her: If she gathered 15 Eyecons, she could revive all she held dear, and thus she resolved herself to gather them… No matter who she has to kill to get her wish.
