Description people say that sports are supposed to help with excessive aggression, but you know, i'm really not so sure... especially after what happened to growly the wolf mascot.

hahaha she's such a weird, terrible person but i always end up drawing her when i'm really bored. i think it's all the smug asshole expressions.
and thank you! it's nice to see it turned out looking alright haha. focus blur, so fancy, ohhh

smug asshole awful characters are actually one of my favourite types, theyre so evil you want to see more of their bad deeds
i usually hate drawing bgs, but ever since i took acryllic painting classes, bgs aren't something you paste on, you gotta PAINT. and all of my paintings are qualified as bgs generally, so its like, time to apply what i did on canvas onto SAI

i guess there's just something appealing about fictional people being total pieces of shit...
that and it's a good excuse to draw awful facial expressions lmaoo
yeah, it's really helpful to actually work on a bg with depth as opposed to like a flat backdrop/something you just pasted in there. it's good practice with color too (at least for me) since you have to make everything work with whatever's going on in the background, otherwise it'll look like ass.
going from traditional to digital seems like it'd feel really weird at first haha, i hope it's working out for you.

It is actually working in some ways, but painting is a little more liberating with BGs sometimes, but I can agree that with digital, making those effects like night time and day time and other things aren't hard to do. (And quicker, you know how they say its boring to watch paint dry? Sometimes you have to do that and make sure it doesn't always dry completely depending on what you wanna do or blend.)

jesus yeah, there's a ton of stuff you can do with digital art that you really just practically can't with traditional. i have mad props for people who paint traditionally though, like not only is there no undo button and everything like that, but yeah, it must take a whole lot of patience haha
(this is from someone who hasn't painted trad in like.. years.. and years. a lot of years. shit's hard bro)

It is hard and like, I remember I was in painting class and I tried to replicate the teacher's work and I got frustrated only to be told I had the wrong brush and its okay if it doesnt look 100% perfect but I was already like "FFFFFFUCCCCKKKKK" in my head, the painting came out well though so its all about patience
