Hey Everyone,

I've finally got the introduction to a point that I am happy with including a few embellishments. I modified the image to make
it more obvious that this is actually related to YouTube more than it is a Deviant Art submission, I've uploaded it to my YouTube

I discovered that the improved quality music for the book falling scene that I took from Real-Myst only covered the audio
spectrum up to 11000hz cutting out the high end. I didn't realize until recently that the original Myst soundtrack actually
had the music so I checked it out with the frequency analyzer and sure enough it ranged up to the proper 16000hz that our ears
can just hear at. I re-mixed down the sound with Atrus' speech and improved the link out sound which was barely audible while
bumping up the stereo back end. I also decided to polish the wind sound that you hear before clicking on the book at the beginning,
applying hiss removal as well as pushing the stereo back end to raise the bass. There was a strange time differential between the
original music with the voice and the higher quality one which I had to compensate for, otherwise the two would go out of sync
during the mix down; a pretty awesome side effect was the sound developed into a retro sci-fi delayed effect.

After improving the audio I decided the polish up the URU scene a little by adding the windmill and hills in the background.

I completed everything to this point and I was reminded by the original making of video that came with the Myst cd back in the day.
I wanted my video to be a gift to both the fans of the series and to Cyan worlds for giving us Myst so I emulated a scene in the movie
where one of the guys holds the Myst CD showing how it managed to just fit on the disk even though it had hours and hours of material,
overlaying the statistics of the development.

I have a camera that is capable of 1080p recording but at that resolution you'd see certain details within the reflection of the CD so
I needed to set up an environment that would remove both the foreground as well as the background; I added stick on felt to a door so
that the background would remain relatively black for the most part and then attached a white curtain to the frame of the door to cover
anything that would show up in the disk's reflection. I needed lighting so I hung a device I invented which diffuses light around the area
which I call an Ambient Light and sat it under the curtain since it would be out of the reflective area. The last part was tricky though,
I had to hold a camera with my arm available to hold the disk while not being within the reflection so I had to hide inside another white
curtain with only the view screen of the camera acting as my eye sight. Basically I looked like cousin IT in a ghost costume with a camera for
an eye and my arm hanging out; I'll upload a picture of that sometime
