Description
Remaking the books is like an art form in and of itself; I decided to rebuild the hardest first but the textures to reference are ridiculously low quality and the Real Myst versions which are slightly better allow you to just read out what they actually say on the cover. I had to sit down with a large piece of glass across my lap with a long fluro tube below and just trace what I could see as the light came through from the low quality image that I printed out. After I traced it I brought it into Illustrator to rebuild all the filigree and roses that you can see on the side of the Channelwood book. In this image you can only see the basic outline but once I have finalized it I'll upload an image of how it came out

When I was working on rebuilding the books I decided to check out YouTube and other places to see how book were actually made, it was a very enjoyable experience to see how each piece is put together, such a shame that there's so few people practicing book binding these days. Makes me want to make my own sometime.
