actually the shades of the colours were not decided by me. becuase the character isn't mine I can't change the shade of red.

How do i do that? the desaturating thing? I just go by the colours of the ref sheet

you make the colour less saturated... idk what you use, but most programs have this square, you pick a color and in the sqare right upper corner is pure color, and to the left it fades to white and down to black. or HSV, when you hve three bars labeled H, S, V (Hue, saturation, value) now, the hure is the colour, that doesnt have to change. the V and S can be from 100% to 0%, this red is probably 100 100, so maybe making it 95 95 or 90 90 would help. but its just a tip, you dont have to go by it.

ahh I tried that before but it never turns out right. Besides I don't think it's right not to go by the shade the ref sheet provides. But thank you for your tips anyway ^^
