Pretty good, but it's kinda hard to distinguish the eyes from the fur between them at first glance. I suggest changing those four pixels to the lighter shade, I tested it and it looks better IMO.

I am honestly having a tough time deciding which is better, the one on the right is amazing, impressive, and more accurate to the modern character, while the one on the left is a bit more accurate to the character model from Donkey Kong Country, and I'm also seeing less detail.
