It's a good start! You should try to improve your lightening and shadows as well as establishing a clear palette of colors before you start, this will make the whole more harmonious!

I wasnt sure on the colors in the first place so I chose a color that fits good with the C4D material and the lighting I got. But after a half hour of trying to improve the light I just didnt want to spend more time with that ^^

For such kind of typo work, you should use Xara3D to make the letters and import it in PS, then make the lighting and adjustment with burning tool! Shinybinary's technique is a must, you can find the tuto here : [link]
