pft, I save all my dolls and .ONG cause' paint messes up the colors if I save as a .GIF. XDD

MSPaint makes them a tad darker. Paint.net is horrid with them. x_x

Paint.net is FINE as long as you don't save as .png. xDDD I always use .gif.~ :3

Yeah. I downloaded it on a friend's suggestion. I use it from time to time. 8D It's a nice program, really; I use it for iconing and shrinking photos and adding text and often-times saving my dolls and bases as .gif.

I have photoshop and paint tool SAI so I never had the use for any other programs. XD

Dolling's really helped me in a lot of other areas (art-wise XD), including anatomy (from making my own bases) and shading and colors. :3

I kind of think of it like "Everyone has to start somewhere," and most of use start off REALLY BAD. (There are a few exceptions of people who are insanely good, though. Dx Crazy people.)

I did have a friend helping me with my doll, and I knew a little bit about dolling, was trying to emulate what everyone else did, which I think is why mine had shading and pixel-thin outlines, as well as being completely filled in and such. When you look around and see other dollers making dolls just however, you tend to follow I'd guess.

But Iunno.
