Would have been much better, I imagine, if you'd actually based it upon Rita Hayworth and Lauren Bacall, like the original toon. Veronica Lake was a heavy influence too, I believe.

hey there! I love this stuff and watched your process. I hope you don't mind if I try my hand at it, only applying the technique to anime characters. I've got the face part down okay, but now I'm working on hair... bah, that's the tough part!

And a real joy to watch the process as well. Highly entertaining 
The only tiny aspect that takes away from the absolute perfection, are the contours of her right cheek/jaw (left in the image), and a very, very slight jaggedness to her right shoulder.
Overall though the realism is quite impeccable. It's the skin texture, if anything, that makes the biggest impact.

This is very good, but to be honest, she kinda creeped me out when I was a kid. Reguardless, you did a very nice job, and she isn't so creepy in this style. So kudos to you! ^_^
