First off, I would like to say it before someone mentions it: I forgot my cape and choker for this shoot. I did make it, but forgot to put it on for part of the day when I wore it. I am a ditz lol.This is my She-ra Costume made for Dragon Con 2008 in Atlanta, Georgia. Most of this costume was made in the span of a week, but it came out looking decent in photos so I acheived my goal! It actually was very durable at the convention, and I had no problems wearing it other than the fact that boots KILL my poor feet.
This photo is part of a beautiful photoshoot set done by Inara of Digital Dreams Photography at just-a-deam.net! I'm stupid and forgot to wear my cape for the entire shoot! It's alright though, because the photos are lovely either way!

Did you wear this same costume at another Dragon con since 2008? Because I think I have a picture of you in this that I took a couple years ago....if not then it was a girl who looked very much like you, also dressed as she-ra.

Your costume is amazing and much better than the rest I've seen on the Web. I am planning on being She-Ra for Halloween. I'm not quite the crafty type. Are you planning on selling the She-Ra costume?

Thanks! It's actually just gold vinyl that I painted a few layers of a copper tinted paint into. It's on top of foamie to make it stiffer.

That looks amazing-and I was wondering, how did you make your head piece? (One of the members of our group has a head piece almost exactly like yours. XD)
And you made that in a WEEK?! I can't even get the materials in a week, let alone do anything with them! Man, you are seriously amazing.

The headpeice is craft foam aka Foamie on top of a Wonderflex base, and it's all attached to just a regular hard headband.
Well i made the dress and other armor peices in about a week, but the headpeice was almost done a few weeks earlier, so I guess I had a little longer than a week.
