If anyone, anyone at all wants to RP pleeasse send me a note. I love RP'ing with Penny (and god knows I have enough boy RP characters...).

If any of you have been watching me for a loooong time you may remember my dragon girl, Penny. She’s one of my favorite OCs and I’m quite sad that haven’t really been able to do much with her (since her old RP group didn’t give me much to work with and now is kinda…dead).

I wasn’t planning to join this group but once I looked into it I thought- “Oh god. This is the perfect group for Penny.” So I just had to create an app and bring my little dragon girl back.

Name: Peridot “Penny Palmier”

Species: Dragon

House: Cobalt

Penny adores anything to do with art and she thought that the cobalt house would be a nice pick for her.

Strengths:

-Creativity-Penny is a wiz at making clothes. Just give her your measurement and fabric choice and she’ll have a dress or a skirt for you in no time.

-Fire-breathing-Since Penny IS a dragon, after all, she can breathe pink fire. It’s nice for camping trips and cooking.

-Cooking-Penny LOVES cooking (she gave herself the last name “palmier” due to her favorite cookie). She constantly whipping up a batch of cookies (usually palmiers) and giving them out to friends, teachers or people who just look kinda sad.

Weaknesses:

-Spiders-Penny hates spiders. Loathes them. In fact, anything or anyone vaguely bug-like will send her screaming for the hills.

-Alcohol-Usually Penny (being the traditional, mild-mannered dragon she is) tries to stay far away from drinking and other…suggestive activities. However, if she even consumes a sip she’ll go nuts, she can’t hold a bit of liquor.

-English-While with speaking the English language she has no problem, writing it is a different story. Plus her books usually get burned up in flames due to her carelessness.

Since Penny grew up back in the past she has a fondness for long skirts, puffy dresses and quiet tea times. She speaks very eloquently, choosing her words carefully before expressing her opinion. If a building is on fire or a deadly monster is loose Penny has the amazing ability to keep calm, quiet, and try to find a solution. (Although on the inside she’s freaking out about as much as everyone else). Everything, from her room to her day, must be planned out to every detail or else she’ll have a mini panic attack.

Penny sticks very true to her traditional values. All of her clothes have skirts below the knees and high necklines. She hates showing skin (she thinks its “unlady-like” and is a bit self-conscious of her curvy figure). If she sees someone wearing revealing clothing or swearing she’ll make it a point to try and “cure” that person of their “corrupted values” in any way possible. Being a dressmaker, she tends to get absorbed in the tiny details, not seeing the overall picture. When Penny is making clothing or cooking she spaces out, and you have to tap her shoulder several times to break her out of her trance.

History: (I’m sorry for the length aaaaugh)

Penny was born into a family of dragons who lived on top of a high cave overlooking a small village. She was named Peridot by her parents, since all dragons in the family were named after their prized possession-gemstones.

Peridot was always a bit different. Instead of having her family green and gold speckled scales, she was pastel blue and pink with heart scales. She also was quite petite compared her huge family members, growing up to be the size of a giraffe rather than a tall three-story building.

Due to these things her family decided to leave her at home, in the care of her older brother Emerald, as they went on their daily plundering raids to the far out cities across the kingdom. Luckily, Emerald was “different” too, much more absorbed in books and academics than plundering and gemstones, and he and Peridot became very close.

The two of them, since staying the cave all the time, became fascinated by the little human village right below. They would spend many hour on the cliff, looking down on the human’s busy lives. Day after day Peridot became absorbed with the curious two-legged creatures-they talked, laughed and wore lovely brightly-colored clothing. She wanted to wear brightly-covered clothing and try those delectable sweets and pastries that the young children nibbled on.

Since Emerald felt the same way (except it was more in the interest of books and conversation) he revealed to Peridot a book that their parent had brought back from a raid, then thrown aside, declaring that “books are useless.” After seeing it was a spellbook and reading it a bit (Emerald had been teaching himself to read in secret) he found a spell that could change people into humans. Peridot was overjoyed.

So the two dragons eagerly tried to perfect the art of transformation. After many years of nearly perfecting it they both decided to go out to the village in their disguises. Oh, how marvelous it was! Peridot learned so many things from bread to dressmaking to the English language. The humans were so nice and friendly and she found herself more accepted and at home than with her dragon family.

So this went on for many more years as Emerald and Peridot would steal away to the village below. After hearing all the different names Peridot decided to change her name to Penny and Emerald was fixated on the name Pierre. They got jobs as an apprentice dress-maker and book-keeper, and spent many happy days in the village.

However, all good things must come to an end. It was late, and the two dragons had gotten caught up in work and social obligations. They tried to sneak in to their cave but were caught by their parents, who were about ready to burn them to a crisp until they shape shifted out of their forms. After being grounded from the village Pierre mentioned to Penny about a school he overhead being talked about at his job. The humans called it a “cursed place” full of students that weren’t human-with claws and fur and ears. Not wanting to stay as dragons forever they packed their things and traveled to the far-off academy, in hopes of finding a place where they could be accepted.

Hobbies/Trivia:

-If she gets in Penny’s older brother Pierre would be in the Thallium house. (He’s not a playable character, just someone to look after Penny).

-Penny loves hello kitty. Ever since seeing her in a store she has bought all the hello kitty things she can find.

-She’s (grudgingly) started to learn modern technology, buying herself a phone with her savings. She’s currently obsessed with texting and tends to sends tons of texts every day.

-She loves herbal tea and always carries a canister of it in her book bag.

-Someday Penny dreams to find her prince charming and buy a happy little home with a picket fence.

- Penny is a worrywart. She says "Sorry" constantly and always freaks out about the tinest trip or injury.

- Penny is talented at certain types of magic, like teleportation and levetation, for Pierre coached her on those spells specifically. All the other spells she's trying to learn, however, usually end in disaster. (She would have Pierre coach her more but the little overachiever is taking, like, eight honors classes at once).

- While Penny is very perspective of other people when it comes to herself she's clueless. She never realizes or catches on someone has a crush on her, you'd have to wack her with a brick and scream "I LOVE YOU" to get the message across.
