Happy belated birthday, =avatar-01 !I need a new way of making the background transparent.

The background should be transparent anyway in Inkscape...

Go to File > Document Properties, and check that the Background thing looks like a chequered pattern. If it has a pattern and a colour as well (usually white) then it should be transparent

I use Inkscape and basically create shapes and overlap shapes.
