How To Get Noticed On deviantART V1.0The tips that really work...
So, you want to get noticed on deviantART? Then this is the right place to be! V1.0 includes the basic factors of getting noticed and getting popular. So, take notes...
Username
Your devUsername should say a lot about you. Your personality or things you like ought to shine through. However, be careful not to make it too long with lots of numbers, people will easily forget it otherwise.
Subscribe!
If you can, subscribe to deviantART! Many more people take notice to those superior with a * or a = next to their names. You are also offered many more features, such as journal skins to spice up your page, custom boxes to feature everything and anything and of course, you get many more advantages too.
Work
Work hard, produce great work - this is the greatest way to get you popular!
Avatar
Have an avatar!
Many more people are going to give you a visit if you have an avatar!
HINT: People with animated avatars seem to get more views as they are more eye catching.
Fan Art or Emoticons
Fan Art
Personally, I'm not a big fan. However, a few pieces of fan art in your wondeful gallery can instantly get you noticed!
Emoticons
Every one loves emoticons, right?
People say that they're not art: they are art! Much skill and patience must go into creating emoticons, so whatever people say, emoticons are art, like
it or not. The only downside is that the Emoticon community is full of many other skilled pixel artists, be sure you don't get lost along the way!
Help Others!
Helping others via comments or even tutorials can not only make a great difference to the community, but also to the amount of notice you gain!
Post Alot
Post a lot, regularly, you don't want your watches to get bored now, do you?
HINT: Make sure that you don't submitt too much though, otherwise you're just spamming your watchers inboxes.
Contests
Hosting them, participating in them, these ways can get you much notice through out the deviantART community.
Groups
Make them, join them, contribute to them. This is a great way to get noticed.
That's all for V1.0. More to come next time! If you have any questions, just ask!

Scroll to the footer of deviantART: there is a section labeled 'Keep in Touch'. Follow those instructions. I hope this helps, apologies for the terribly late reply!

a great start for something like this. If it hasn't crossed your mind, I've got a thing or two you could include; And if you like it, feel free to add it in! Constructive criticism! Everybody is guilty of leaving comments like "looks awesome!" or "great job
" but leaving a heartfelt response can prove difficult at times. Some feel leaving critiques is just a feature usable to premium members (and up), but really it's just a tool provided to assistance to be constructive. The easiest way to be more constructive in your comments is to tell them one thing you like most and one thing you liked least about the deviation. Everybody loves getting constructive criticism, especially when looking for ways to improve. Not only does it help the artist, but it can lead to making a new friend who will leave some constructive criticism for you as well.
Shameless self-promotion! It might seem a bit of a silly idea, but there are some guidelines to perhaps follow. Don't go around spamming everybody bragging about yourself. That's just annoying. When someone
one of your works, go thank them! You don't have to throw them a parade; a simple text comment on their profile (with maybe a couple "chat-friendly" emotes) will work. Be sure to include the name of the deviation and even a link directly to it. I've found a few things I liked when other people had used that method. There's nothing wrong with marketing yourself, you've just got to do it the right way.
