Description
It was dark and to be truthful, I had no idea where I was or what I was going to do. Through the gap in the trees I could see the full moon shining bright and the leaves fell in the darkness.

As I stood in the seemingly desolate forest, I knew I was in trouble. There I sat, alone in a dark forest with but the trees as a shelter. I tucked my knees into my chest and closed my eyes, reassuring myself that everything would be okay. I remembered the last time I saw a full moon...

"Freddy, look!" John shouted from across the street.
I looked up to where he pointed. The full moon glistened above us. "It's stunning..." I called as I jogged over to where my best friend stood.
"You know that strange things are supposed to happen on nights like tonight when the full moon is shining."
"Myths and rumours, mate, myths and rumours." I shook my head, John always was the superstitious one.
"I'm telling you, something's going to happen. Something strange."
"Look, I'm going to head home." I glanced at my watch, dismissing John's strange mood. It was just ten minutes until my curfew.
"Scared, are we?"
"Me? Never." I chuckled as I started to walk towards my house. "Night John."
"Good night." John wandered in the opposite direction. "Let's just hope I won't have to say I told you so."

I never saw John again after that night. He was labled a missing child at just fifteen years of age. I blame myself and rightly so. I left him alone when there was a full moon. I shouldn't have done that. He was correct, strange things do happen on the night of a full moon. At least that's what happened the last time I saw a full moon and I was honestly terrified with the fact that I was here, stranded in an unknown forest when the full moon laughs above me...
