I checked out the portfolio link. There's some nice work in it.

I wish the second shot was square, to play off the lines of the fence, but nice exposure and depth of field.

The colors in 8 and 9 are attractive, yet unsettling. The suggestion of water flowing around rocks is one that would normally soothe, but because it's something else, something chemical, it disturbs instead.

The 11th shot is an awesome portrait! I love the expression, the focus and exposure. The offset bg is a tiny bit distracting, but that's nit picking. It's a great shot.

I won't pretend to know what the symbolism is with the "smoking" flowers, but I did think a nice diptych would be a color shot of the bouquet in the first frame being lit up (like the image above), and a black and white second frame of him (side profile) exhaling with a bouquet of dandelion seeds in place of the flowers, some of which are being blown off their stems, along with smoke.
