I'm glad you choose R.O.B in his SSB3 colours in your pic.
I understand in SSB4 they based his default colours on his original colours when R.O.B was an accessory on the NES, but he looks so bland compared to his Brawl colours.
That's why I always play in his Brawl colours in SSB4

Nothing's wrong with them, a few I quite like, but overall I'm underwhelmed with the choices, especially since they seem to be prioritizing promotion above popularity moreso than in the past.

How so? Animal Crossing is a very popular franchise, so Villager is in due to that. Mega Man is popular and heavily fan-demanded. Rosalina has been a fan-favourite Mario character ever since her debut in Galaxy. Palutena is very popular, and Little Mac was a heavily requested character too. And a lot of people wanted to play as their Miis.
Really, the only newcomers chosen for promotional purposes would be Greninja (Sakurai revealed he was chosen before X and Y even came out, so he wasn't chosen because of his popularity) and Pac-Man (Namco making the game).

Who should be in the roster in your opinion?
I think the big Problem is, when Nintendo would aknowledge all the screams of the fans, ther have to be more Charakters then Pokemon in current generation
I wish they would bring some characters from smaller IPs like Golden Suns Isaac or Felix
