Description
This was taken in Glen Affric a little while ago. It was a nice day. It was just to the side of the bridge in FreelyYou can't see the little coves the rocks made in Freely but it was calmer water and this was a little 'rapid'.
Taken with a long exposure and Fujifilm Velvia--no editing has been done to this photo.

I like this shot. It conveys to me a sense of quiet haunting. The water is so smooth, yet also permeating... Like something that could flow forward but also reach up and touch you, caress you, or bite you. Very interesting image. Bit fan of the composition too.

This is beautiful. Soothing. And I'll hope you understand what I mean when I say it's very "smooth". The composition flows well and the piece is very easy on the eye. All of the different hues and colors of the water playing on the stone make this very appealing.

Many thanks for your comment. I do understand what you mean by smooth--I'm glad it comes across. Unfortunately what you, the viewer of this can't see it the torrent of water 2 feet to the left of where this is which I think could make it more dramatic.

Sadly my knowledge of photography is next to nil and so all I can say about this piece is that I really like it but can't say why.
