The nominator for the DD said they chose this piece for the "superb lighting," (among other things), but I believe the lighting is the weakest aspect of this image! The highlights on the tail and top of her head are much too bright for the rest of the picture, (the light source isn't even that bright!) and places where the light is dim (like on her legs), the shiny aspects create odd illusions, where the skin underneath looks as if it may have been pinched upward.
Oh, and her leg...the one on the top, at first I thought her knee was bent, but upon actually looking at it, it's just her upper thigh. It looks extremely strange, as if she has some sort I'd tumor or filled with fluid (like a balloon)...it's really odd.
(Also, what's going on with her finger, on the hand that's on the pillow? It's really long and curled strangely...)
hmmm, and I never understood this, I've seen this many times before, why...if she's a furry, covered in fur, why does she have a human-like appearance? (It looks like she has orange skin...)
the shading on her face is also strange. With so little shading under her muzzle, it looks like she has a receding jawline...
if she were to stand up, she'd have a long torso/upper body, but her legs would be disproportionately short...
You see, this is a good picture and all, but....why don't they catch these things when choosing a DD?

You are probably right. I came to write something super negative regard this selction for DD but.. ugh gotta try to respect their "culture" (if can be called as such...) I still wonder in which point of humanity this became a popular subject lol

It's just that this really isn't that great. I've seen a thousand others like it. The person who suggested the DD said "it's seductive and draws the viewers to the eyes". I think that's a load of frittata.
