I wonder if I'm the first to post senior Zutara for the week...But the first of several coming up, as a heads up.
Inspired by this song, one of my favourites EVER: [link]
And specifically the line: "Something's watching over me, like sweet serendipity." Please listen to it when you view this!
Mainly thought of through Katara. I figured the whole song applied well to her and that Aang would be happy that Katara has someone around.
Although a few of the lines could be considered for this...

I'm so happy to see someone else promote senior Zutara! It may not be ideal, but I'm still holding on to a tiny bit of hope for the two of them getting together for good in the show. Not that I'd be crushed if it didn't happen, but gosh, it would be very adorable. Second marriages run in Katara's family, after all

Doesn't it!? But I hope there's still just a little bit of that spark that they had back in A:TLA, especially when they were fighting and arguing.

I would like to think Aang would approve of this match after he's been gone so long, if it made Katara happy.

But I feel the same way. It doesn't even have to be considered a romantic match, but a friendly match. After all, Zuko's the only one left. Katara deserves happiness in her golden years, too. Life doesn't have to end after a spouse's death, especially at such a young age.

Yeah, Aang did die relatively young. Depending on when he and Katara got married, they would've had between roughly forty years together. And that's actually not very long.

Especially considering that some Avatars lived to be 200+. And during those forty years they were together, who knows how often Aang had to leave Katara for long trips after the kids were born.
