Description
Two of my very own original charas. They're in a 5-part story (and I'm over here hoping it'll stay at five parts) under the title Hauting.Here's a link to the first part (Haunting:Melody)-[link]
Be sure to read the warnings! By the way, the full-body is of Asura Cale, the head-shot is of Youma Kyuubi.
And before you speak poorly of my bishies, take note of the fact I drew them both using *only* unsharpened colored pencils and completely *without* erasers. And in the dark. Well, I'm joking on the last one...

I love the eyes, thats the first thing that struck me. Very nice eyes. As for the look of the picture, its not too bad. You really should go for that tablet though, lol. ^^ Then you wouldn't have to use crayons so much. Or how bout' that box of colored pencils chels gave you?

I play with the colored pencils, really I do. But I don't have the money to buy a tablet anymore (eyes Master's hungerly). Perhaps if you motivate me I will color this.

Yes, it made me cry. But i got over it- and now I have one more thing about this picture that deserves bragging. As long as no one asks me why I didn't bring a pencil with an eraser with me...

::keels over at the thought of use unsharpened color pencils and no eraser:: I normally greatly dislike colored pencils, and I have trouble without something to clean up my lines. With those two factors in mind, I'd have to say that you did an awesome job on this. I take it that Cale is the one on the left-hand-side, and Kyuubi's the one on the right...?

On the colored pencils note- I agree completely. And I do have a reason for leaving the lines in their after I got ahold of some erasers. I liked the random 'unfinished' look. That and I decided what the hell- if I didn't have an eraser when I was drawing it, why should I change it now. I'll probably descide it looks like crap in a year or two, but that's then.

I like the "unfinished" look also. What kills me the most is when something I drew looked great halfway done, but screwed up later when I attempted to color it or darken the lines. And with the, "I'll probably decide it looks like crap in a year or two," I totally know what you mean. Even now, as I look back on work from a month ago, I wince. ^^

Egh. I heard that using white bread helps, but I've never tried it myself. It seems a waste of bread, but I'm rather porcine when it comes to appetite.

^^ Me too. I was facing down a box of different colors, and normally this would have been distracting as hell. Luckily I already knew just what I wanted (for everything 'cept Cale's shirt, but my crappy job at finding his shoulder solved that one for me) so the huge selection *helped*. That is rare.
It's just... some things worked really well for me in this picture... and some didn't.
