when the prize is a whole moon colony for the one that finds her pearl, many have tried to fake pink diamond out and shapeshift pearls with the same gem location and color. however, a diamond knows her pearl well and with a few questions or even seeing the shade of pink of the gem is enough to anger her.
when it comes to her pearl she is serious and after she had encountered too many shape shifters she called her rose quartzes to begin the hunt as her subjects were failures.
