Description
Corpse Bride/EmilyAge: 20-23 (?)
Appearance: Undead, if you would. Dodger blue skin, royal blue hair (tangled). Voluptuous form. Left ribcage showing, three ribs bare. Left leg skeletal, right arm skeletal. Enounced cheek bones, Angelina Jolie like face. Right cheek without skin, exposing top row of teeth. Elegant, dainty nose, with skeletal like nostrils. Apparent clavicles, wears tattered wedding dress consisting of beaded bodice and tattered, flowing white skirt including train. Fingerless gloves, right glove reaches elbow, left wrist, both tattered. Large, blue rimmed eyes, with simple, black pupils and eyelashes on upper and lower lids, four in total (lashes, not lids. xD). Left eye has a tendency to pop out at the most unappealing times. Violet rose lips, a little lopsided, very full. Thin, melancholy blue eyebrows. Veil, headband type, headband adorned with flowers (I’m guessing), all royal-ish blue, old and a little withered. Long, flowing white veil with swirling patterns identical to those on the skirts. Plain white dress heels, left leg has remnants of skin on foot (god, doesn’t THAT sound sexy?). Section of skin above left brow, near hair line beginning to rot. (No, wait, that’s much sexier.)
Personality: Hopeful and naïve. Forceful to get what she wants, but also kind and generous. Envious and easily disappointed. Sorrowful, mournful.
History: As a young woman, she fell in love with Barkis Bittern. Her father forbade their wedding, and so they decided to elope. Barkis murdered her and stole her dowry. (What a charmer.) Years later, she rose from the underworld to claim another love, Victor Van Dort. A movie ensued, which ended in Victor choosing Victoria Everglott (we all wonder why) over poor, jubiliciously lovely Emily. Emily then proceeded to throw her bouquet and turn into a hundred pretty little butterflies that then flew into the moon light. But we all know that wasn’t the end of dear old Emily. Because… well… that’d just suck.
Victor Van Dort
Age: 20-22 (?)
Appearance: Hair: Brown. Eyes: Brown. Shoes: Brown. (Had to put that in there.) Wears a plain brown coat that reaches a little past his heinie, with brown pinstriped pants. Brown, business like shoes. Wears a brown vest beneath his coat, beneath that a white shirt with a brownish-blue tie. All in all, he’s very colorful. Pale skin, very tall and thin. Eyes rimmed with brown… eyeliner? (xD Just kidding.) No eyelashes, because, you know, he has such a manly reputation that he wouldn’t want to ruin it. Melancholy eyebrows. Long face, cute little ears. Section of hair that tends to bob up and down. Dark brown hair, held back with Victorian hair gel or something. Long, straight nose. Literally straight.
Personality: STUPID. (WHY WOULD YOU PICK VICTORIA? Like, I like Victoria, she’s plenty likeable… but WHY?) Ahem. Timid, not ambitious, does not take risks. Weak, with bad accuracy. Not very courageous and a little pitiful. Why do I love him so? Will fight for what he believes in, but only if someone is already jabbing at him with a sword. Falls in love easily, apparently. Likes to play piano, but apparently doesn’t care when some really beautiful woman with a wonderful personality (albeit with a maggot living in her head) can play piano, too. And dance. And sing. Artistic but clumsy.
History: Likes to draw butterflies. (Like I said, manly reputation.) Lives with his parents, William Van Dort and Nell Van Dort. His father is tall, skinny, and… odd. His mother is medium sized, portly, ambitious and bossy. The son of fish merchants, his parents arranged a marriage with once famously wealthy family the Everglotts. Victor was to wed Victoria Everglott, when he screwed up the rehearsal. He fled to the woods, rehearsed his vows, blah blah blah and wound up with Victoria. Why? WHY!? (I’ll write a whole synopsis of the movie later.)
Victoria Everglott
Age: 20-22 (?)
Appearance: Brown hair held back in a severe looking bun. Wears a striped, brownish red Victorian outfit, with (presumably) many, many petticoats. Skirt has three ruffles at the bottom, reaches the ground and puffs evenly. Shirt had many, many buttons (I’ll count them one day) going up the center, with little arm puff thingies on the shoulders. Long sleeves, with a turtle neck neck trim thing that ruffles. Big eyes, round face. Four eyelashes only on upper lids, with no specific shading around the eyes. Optimistic brown eyebrows, with small lips and a cute little button nose. Pale skin, but not as pale as Victor’s.
Personality: Cute, surprisingly courageous. Regretful, but does what she’s told (in the marriage department, anyway. You’ll sneak out your window in the middle of a windy night, and fall from the second floor with nothing but a torn quilted blanket, but you can’t just say no to marrying some old dude?) Knows how to quilt. (Ooh, skilled. I can totally see why Victor picked her.) A little rebellious (a LITTLE), likes to poke doors with pokers. Seems to care about her parents wealth even though her parents don’t care about her. At all. Her mom’s ugly.
History: Victoria Everglott presumably grew up in a very sheltered and condescending home. Her parents are very straight laced and shallow, obsessed with appearances, wealth and status. As such, Victoria was raised a “lady”, and told never to be too passionate. She learned “ladylike” hobbies, such as quilting, embroidery, sewing and coming away from the window. And yet, somewhere along the line, she never noticed what total asses her parents were. As a child, she dreamt that her marriage would be a happy occasion, to wed the one she loved. She was surprised and disappointed to hear of her marriage to Victor, a complete stranger, but did not object to the proposition. Probably because no one seems to care about her opinion. For the rest, just see the movie. Or read the synopsis. Got her happy ending. Rawr.
