Description
Well here it is, my Loki scepter. Not satisfied, but it's not horrible for a first attempt at making a prop.
Handle is made from a PVC pipe, aluminum foil, newspaper, plastic bags, tape and craft foam.
Blades are made of foam board and epoxy putty.
I'll change out the plastic egg to a prettier glass one when I find it. I could not find one ANYWHERE.
It's lit by two jumbo LEDs (with separate switches, so I can make it brighter at will) and two AAA batteries. Credit for electronics goes to Thor (Josh), my boy. <3

This is amazing! Really good considering its your first attempt ;o Would you ever consider making another to sell? I am hoping to cosplay as Loki for an event at my school, but have found no-where to buy a Loki sceptre. Job well done on this- it looks fantastic

Probably not.
And thank you! It's not that hard to make yourself if you can't find one. ;D

I understand the PVC pipe but how in the world did you make that out of aluminum foil, newspaper, plastic bags, tape and craft foam....? I know you have the tutorial but just..... how. (I'm trying to create my own and yours just seems more.... possible to create)

Well, if you're talking about this tutorial: [link]
I didn't make that, someone else did. C:
For mine, I used a regular PVC pipe which I bent with this tutorial: [link]
For the butt (thick part), I basically took some plastic groceries bags and wrapped it around the end of the pipe several times over to give it some bulk. I then used a pretty strong shipping tape and mushed it over the plastic bags to give the butt a triangular shape. To shape it more, taped bits of foil and stuffed some areas with the newspapers and then cut a slit for the battery pack: [link]
For the rest of the handle, I wrapped the entire thing in foil to give it some thickness. Foil is extremely malleable, so it was perfect for shaping. C:
I then wrapped the entire foil/tape scepter in craft foam like so: [link] (sorry it's upside down, you might want to flip it. xD)
The handle looks like this before painting: [link]
I then painted it, cut a slit for the blades, mounted them down with some good ol' epoxy putty, glued it back up and touched up on painting. C:
I hope that helps!

That's totally awesome. The materials make it sound relatively but the whole thing looks like it's got some weight to it. I feel like I could bash a few heads with the knob end. How did you get the egg to attach? o 3o The blade looks flippen amazing too and the texture is <3 AFGEGFGFARF!!

It's pretty light actually, I can twirl it around my arm with ease.
Ahaha, the back end is actually like a pillow since that's where I put the plastic bags. The blades are actually hard as rocks because of the epoxy. I was carrying it downstairs and accidentally broke the paint on the wall with the blade tip. xD
Haha, thank yooou!
