Before, he’d been able to look down at his reflection in the water and see confident (perhaps even overconfident) turquoise eyes staring back at him. Now he hooded himself, trying for even a moment to forget that those green eyes were now a glaring red. He tried to forget that now he was only fit to infiltrate, seeing as how he could blend in.

He looked down at the sobbing boy gripping his hand and knew that despite everything, he’d do it again. He’d do it a million times more.

“Riku…I searched for you…Riku…”

He’d do anything for that boy.
