I know this doesn't loop perfectly, but i don't want to render it for hours again. Well, here's my first blender "Animation". It's surprisingly intuitive, once you understand bones, pole targets, keyframes and all that jazz.

Pretty good attempt on animating with Blender. Simple, but quite smooth.
I think the pop effect was just a mistake or something you missed on the keyframes, but I am certain that your next animation will be better.
