Personality:
Lepa came from a very old-fashioned herd which was controlled by only one stallion. She didn't like him much but felt obligated to contribute to the herd like the other mares once she was old enough. The stallion, unimpressed by the weak filly she produced, killed the small infant in front of her. The shock caused Lepa to withdraw and she soon became selectively mute. A little while later she became pregnant again. When she delivered another filly she made the snap decision to run away to prevent the same tragedy. This foal, being the second one she's had, was a bit stronger and was able to travel with her. They wandered until they came to the sea. Noticing a lush island not too far away they made the perilous journey.
Soaking wet, underweight, and rather feral, the small family was discovered by the lead scout. She and her filly were brought to the Lola herd where they've stayed ever since.
Lepa has gained more confidence now that she's in a relaxed environment. She loves the tropical weather and the lack of nosiness in this herd. Everyone gets to do their own thing instead of the leader ordering them around! She's still rather shy and morose around others, especially stallions. If they remind her of her old leader she avoids them completely. What she does enjoy is foal-tending! Her best self is seen while watching the naughty foals of the Lola herd. It's like the mare she used to be before the tragedy. The foals she cares for sort of fill the void of the one she's missing. If necessary she will absolutely die for them.
Lepa is a herd horse through and through; she's scared to be tied down to one horse since the tyrant stallion was so controlling. So to ease her worries and help fill her loneliness she'd like a small herd of partners to snuggle, chat, and groom. She wants love but is scared of it.
