Nell Clearfield is back again, this time trying to entice you to enjoy a nice relaxing bath with her, and using that good old fashioned raider charm to do it. I really must say, I thoroughly love working on pictures of Nell - its so nice working with a character of my own Though, that said, this picture fought me all the way! From its basic conception through to drawing the background, this picture has been an uphill battle with everything taking multiple attempts to get right. Seriously, at one point I even considered abandoning the picture and going onto another idea. I'm glad I persevered though, because I'm really pleased with the end product. I guess all that suffering was worth it...

This picture also let me experiment with new ways to draw backgrounds - using more free-hand techniques than usual and letting me make proper use of the smear tool. Interesting stuff! I never would have thought that watching Bob Ross videos on Youtube would give me skills that I could transfer into digital art. Thanks, Bob! Additionally, this picture also let me explore a new aspect of Nell's design: what she looks like with her hair down (as seen in the sister picture here: fav.me/dcgubn5 )
