I use CS4 , but serious, from which tuts did you learn. I'm now trying a planet making tut, which is going well, but yours are way better!

Taught myself
I never learned well from planet tutorials. I started with Greg Martin's planet tutorial, but I wound up doing every single planet the exact same way. Got old after a while.

Wow, the green at the far end really caps this off quite nicely! The nebulas actually look more like space auroras, but no matter, it's still very beautiful work! Nicely done!

Amazing. I love the way the gradient hues on this, and the contrast from colorful to near greyscale. Nice.

I don't think this response could possibly get any later, but I just realized that I haven't yet responded to it.
So thanks very much

Nice work, very outstanding with the colours used, and its also good how a soft, feathery nebula is contasted against by a sharp-detaile dplanet, all the while having a bright atmosphere seperating the two

WOW.
That is one crazy planet. Nice work!
I don't like those dark brushed bits near the planet's surface, but it's a great pic overall.

lol limitless, maybe i should get myself a 8000x9000 texture then.
I love your work, and i can almost see how you do it :d... almost.
I'm learning quite a bit by just looking at them all.

danke
Yeah, it's pretty crazy what you can do with a decent texture at high res.
Although, it has to be decent at high res. This texture took me a couple hours to make, so it definitely looks good when you scale it.
And thank you for the kind words

yeah, I was diggin the colors too.
Just for reference... since I see you like space art as well...
use the "rainbow gradient" (for lack of a better term) on a new layer and set the layer mode to "color". works wonders.
