Absolutely magnificent. She hasn't lost any of her stature or her dignity despite her fall. Her eyes are bottomless. The entire design is very intimidating. I especially love the ram-head and its curling horns, the way her braids twist, the gray and black color scheme that reigns over this: it's like the life has been drained from her. This is one opponent I am sure no one would like to cross on the battlefield. I'm almost scared to have her sitting in my favorites.

Oh wow, this is simply astounding. It's a far cry from all the little girl Valkyries floating around Deviantart. I could actually picture this Valkyrie in Valhalla unlike the aforementioned "Valkyries".
I bet yours would chew them up and spit them out for breakfast.

Well All Valkyries are female which is why you see "Little Girl Valkyries" floating around. They were strong too and had mystical powers, being from Valhalla and all.
Not to mention, they are the shepherds of the dead and choosers of the slain.
So no offense but I can't agree with you on that.

No, I know they're all female. xD What I'm getting at is that most Valkyries look.... too child-like around the site.
I know all Valkyries are women, but unlike this one, most look like they hardly have the strength to carry a weapon, let alone swing it. I absolutely adore Valkyries and all old myths, but modern-artists seem to forget that they're not 'Kawaii-desu' anime tweens but proud women who were able to get into Valhalla with the menfolk.
Which is why I like this one so much. The Valkyrie here actually looks strong and capable, unlike the 'Little Girl' ones around the site.
