I have few secrets left,I've opened my heart and
Given them all away,
Except for two.
Open heart; open mind;
Open love; open life.
Where truth rules
There are no secrets,
Only those of others
Told in confidence.
Of myself, I share all,
Even though fears engulf me.
Fear has become my friend,
My companion, though unwelcome,
And unwanted.
Sometimes, fear is all I have,
Except the loneliness that
Keeps me company
When the fear hasn't
Robbed me of my senses.
I see that I have no reason
To keep any secrets anymore.
So I give these last two away as well.
The first is forbidden love;
A love so profound and deep,
But so divided with illicit desire.
The last is the fear that I am
As undesirable as I feel I am.
So now that all secrets
Have been set free,
All that remains is my friend and companion;
Fear.
