Description
Riho sat up angrily. She tried to get up and get out of the room, only to fall and be caught by Silver. "You see? Riho, you're too weak to even stand you can't keep doing this to yourself. How much longer are you going to fight that hunger? You were barely able to keep yourself from attacking Ruby on your birthday. In addition to that, you've been locking yourself in your room more frequently than last year. Face it kiddo, although you have amazing willpower, not even you can fight back your own hunger for much longer now." Riho growled lightly at Silver's words even though she knew he was right. She knew that by not feeding, she became more easily agitated as well as becoming weaker. Nevertheless, Riho always thought she never needed blood."Fine Silver… I'll feed from you. But! Don't you dare tell mom!"
"Silly girl, mom already knows I've been feeding you for the past year. She knows that because of last year on Ruby's 3rd birthday you were mumbling something about Ruby's blood smelling so sweet. Not to mention you attempted to bite her. After that day I told mom I fed you."
Riho's face became red in slight embarrassment as she crossed her arms and pouted, "Well it's not my fault that kid's blood seems to attract vampires." Silver laughed lightly. "So then feed already."
"Fine… Give me your hand Silver," Riho said seeming angry. Silver nodded and did as told. Riho bit into his wrist as gently as she could and began to draw blood from her brother.
An hour later Riho walked out of her room leaving her brother to rest on her bed. She nearly bumped into Ouka who was carrying a small wooden bowl full of a pleasant smelling herbal paste. "R-Riho! Are you sure you should be out of bed?" Ouka asked looking at her elder sibling worriedly. "I'm fine, you should check on Silver. He … Erm…" Riho scratched her head nervously not knowing how to tell her younger sister that she left her brother weak from blood loss. "Riho? Did Oniichan feed you?" Ouka smiled warmly at her older sister. Riho looked away embarrassed. "You should try to be careful and avoid taking too much blood Riho." Riho turned and glared at Ouka. "I wasn't trying to take too much!" Ouka giggled slightly, unaffected by her sister's glare. "Still, be careful not to take too much, or we may lose our older brother." Ouka said before walking past Riho and into her room, leaving said maroon haired girl in the hall to think. "She's right ... I may end up killing Silver if I'm not careful …"
Riho continued walking down the hall seeming upset. When walking into the living room she noticed her mother walk in through the door. She quickly walked up to greet her mother, "Hi mom, how are you?"
"Oh hello Riho, I'm just exhausted from work. How are you feeling? Silver told me what happened earlier and I really am sorry for the people treating you that way honey…" The silver haired woman looked at her daughter a sympathetic look before hugging her tightly. Riho sighed and said she was fine with it. Her mother clearly didn't believe her, and kissed her forehead. Riho, with much difficulty, tried her best not to cry. She refused to cry in front of her mother. Riho was relieved when Ouka came in and told her mother that Silver looked pale. Riho made a beeline for the bathroom when Ouka called her mother's attention.
Ouka led her mother into Riho's bedroom where Silver lay, unconscious.
"He needs to rest… It looks like your sister took too much blood from him again…" Ouka's mother sighed. The silver wolf cub nodded and walked out of the room holding her mother's hand.
Exactly six months later Riho's father came by to visit her. The Halfling was very displeased to see him. Upon seeing her father walk through the door, she automatically knew who he was by looking at his maroon hair and golden eyes. The young succubus immediately stormed off to her room. Riho refused to speak to or even see her father when her mother asked her to come out of her room.
After she had given up on getting Riho out of her room she simply walked back into the den, where Riho's father had been, sipping his tea.
"I'm sorry Alex; she's as spiteful as ever…"
"Ah, children… They most certainly are a handful aren't they Wolfina?"
"That's what you think Alex. It was a breeze raising these kids. The only problems they give me are when Riho picks fights with little Ruby or takes too much blood from my son leaving him anemic for a long while" Wolfina sighed in frustration at that.
"Oh? So my daughter is the problem child?"
"Huh? Oh! No, no, no! I'm not saying that she's a problem--" Wolfina was cut off by Alex's laughing.
"Now now Wolfina, I was merely joking! You take what others say much too seriously Wolfina!"
Wolfina sighed heavily, "You and your sense of humor Alex."
Alex continued to chuckle when he caught sight of Ruby, hiding in the hall, from the corner of his eye, "Hey, who's that little girl?"
"Hm?" Wolfina turned and saw Ruby hiding, "Oh that's my youngest daughter, Ruby. Sweetie come say hello." Ruby shyly did as told. She sat on the couch next to her mother before saying hello to the stranger before her. "Mommy? Who is that?"
"That is Riho's daddy."
"Riho's daddy? But, he's pretty! Riho said her daddy was a good for nothing and a bad person, and, and, he's stupid and ugly!"
An awkward expression was present on Alex's face. Tension filled the air and was broken by loud laughter that heard from upstairs.
"Riho! That's rude!"
"He deserves it!" The maroon haired girl called from the stairs still laughing, though trying to restraint to it. "He didn't pull his weight as a father or a husband!"
"Riho, you're grounded!"
"F-fuck you!" Riho, said before flipping off her mother and stomping back upstairs.
Ruby tilted her head to the side in a confused manner and looked at the man sitting across from her, "Did I say something wrong?"
"Other than insult me? Nope nothing of the sort."
"Uwah!? I said something mean?! I'm sorry mister! I'm really sorry" Alex began to laugh again. "Ah, Wolfina, this girl is most definitely your daughter; she over reacted just like you would!
Wolfina's face flushed to a bright red hue. The woman looked away from him feeling very embarrassed.
"So wait… He was kidding? I'm confused mommy!"
"Yes I was kidding kiddo. Why should I be offended by what my daughter says when she's right? I was never around at all when she was little… That is actually, why I'm here. Wolfina, I wanted to ask you if I could take her to Akai Hana Village, or the Ryo Kasumi Village. She could grow up happily there. I didn't exactly receive a warm welcome on my way over here. So I assume Riho isn't growing up happily here." Wolfina sighed deeply before nodding.

Alex isn't a jerk like Riho makes him out to be, he just made his daughter mad because he practically abandoned them when Riho was only three. HE found his clans more important than his family which is sorta why Riho hates him
