Description With all the all monsters gone; Mari dusted herself off, put her grimoire away, and reloaded her maverick. She began walking through the field of dead monsters when something in the corner of her eye caught her attention. She walked over to one of the dead and found a piece of black cloth smeared with blood on it. She looked at the frillzard and noticed it was slashed all over.

'It must have escaped Sieghart's attack. Judging by the wounds on this monster, Sieghart must be nearby,' Mari thought to herself, 'However… judging from this piece of cloth... Sieghart may be wounded... and possibly in trouble.' She began running across the sand, spreading a mana shield to protect herself from flesh eating scarabs. Mari stopped suddenly when she heard a scream of agony... It was a male's scream. The blue haired girl started running faster towards the sound. She panted heavily, trying to catch her breath. She found Sieghart and gasped at the sight of him. Sieghart held his soluna in his right hand, but his right shoulder was being bitten by a giant frillzard who seemed to have gotten him from behind. Monsters began to gather around the struggling knight. The harder Sieghart struggled the more he bled. Mari quickly pulled out her mallet and ran down towards the monsters.

"Call of ruin!"
A spell circle formed around the monsters. A red eye opened up and demonic hands reached up; grabbing the monsters and pulling them in. One of the monsters had clubbed Sieghart in the head before being sucked in, resulting in the immortal being unconscious. Mari looked up and noticed the giant frillzard still had Sieghart in its jaws. The frillzard seemed to be too big to be sucked into the Call of Ruin. The Polaris quickly jumped on the back of the monster and slammed her hammer down on its head. She beat it several times, hoping to make it release Sieghart. It refused to do so; apparently, it wanted to eat Sieghart for lunch. Seeing as how her mana had charged up enough, she jumped off the frillzard's back and stayed behind it. She lifted her mallet in the air and released the spell she had been preparing.

"Extinction!" she cried as an enormous blue ball of energy surrounded by ice shards was summoned and sent towards the unsuspecting frillzard from behind. The frillzard was ignoring Mari's presence and continued shaking the unconscious Sieghart around like a ragdoll in its mouth. This was action soon to be regretted.

The ball exploded in a flurry of ice as soon as it made contact; the ice shards stabbing the frillzard all over until it dropped Sieghart and collapsed on the ground, dead. Mari quickly ran towards Sieghart to look at his bite wound.
"This bite looks deeper than the stab I gave him..." Mari thought to herself as she  pulled Sieghart's left  arm over her shoulder. She summoned Kormet, her robot, to pick up and carry Sieghart's heavy soluna as the blue-haired woman went to seek shelter. She spotted a nearby rock that would make due. She dragged Sieghart under the big rock formation and laid the unconscious immortal on the ground in the shade.

'There isn't time to set up a portal. He needs medical treatment now,' Mari thought to herself as she then pulled out one of the first aid kits from Amy's Chu-Chu bag. The Rune Caster set the med kit aside and tore off Sieghart's tattered torso-wear. Mari quickly retrieved one of the alcohol packs and ripped it open. She started cleaning the wound a bit roughly seeing as how there was sand in it and Sieghart was unconscious anyways. When finished cleaning the injury, she began bandaging him.

An hour later she had finally finished bandaging him. She had to bandage him profusely due to the bleeding, not to mention fix his eye bandages. Mari was pleased to know that Sieghart's eye was healing very well. The girl began taking out mats, blankets, and pillows. The sun was setting and it wouldn't be wise to continue traveling.

After tucking the unconscious Sieghart in, she built a fire, ate apples, pears and blue berries until she was full. She then lay on her own mat looking over at Sieghart who didn't seem to stir. Slowly, she began to fall asleep. Mari woke up to some loud grunting in pain. She opened her eyes to see Sieghart holding his head as he seemed to be in pain. She noticed Sieghart had a crisp shirt on; he probably took it from the chu-chu bag. She sat up and rubbed her eyes to take a better look at the immortal.

"Sieghart? Are you alright?" Mari asked quietly. Sieghart started to open his eye, only to show his eye was glowing crimson red.
The rune caster flinched lightly when seeing his eye, "Right... you were badly injured. It's only natural I suppose." Mari said as she was about to get up. In the blink of an eye however, Mari was pinned a bit roughly against the rock wall by Sieghart. He, of course, seemed to be trying to resist his hunger futilely.
"I-I'd really prefer not to attack you in your sleep...it's bad to go after a sleeping person...so I wanted to wait 'til morning... but it was giving me a headache..." Sieghart explained grunting in pain as his headache was probably getting worse.

Being very hungry and unable to control it any longer, Sieghart sank his fangs hard and deep into Mari's neck. The rune caster cried out in pain from the hard bite. Mari reached up to his shoulder and gripped firmly on his shirt, her grip tightening from the pain she was feeling. As Sieghart drank, Mari could feel quite a bit of her blood began trickling down her neck.

"S-Sieghart... stop biting so hard... you are spilling my blood..." Sieghart quickly licked up the trickling blood; earning a shiver from the semi-conscious Mari. The blue haired girl started to feel dizzy as her vision began to blur. Her hand soon lost its grip on Sieghart's shirt and fell to her side. She closed her eyes of cas her last ounce onsciousness slipped away from her. Sieghart wrapped his arms around Mari once he realized she had fainted from blood loss.

Awww... Poor Sieghart.

Vampire hunger is indeed hard to resist, and he almost drank all of Mari's blood. ><

But I know she'll recover from blood loss soon...
