For the ESS this year I wanted to do something soft, but also slightly stylized.Because I wanted to focus more on the sky and Nox Caelo, the snow BG is more stylized and just there as a place for him to rest than anything.
I also thought because of all the star detail in the BG, having anymore detail in the snow would make it too busy, so.
I knew from the beginning I wanted to draw Nox Caelo, because star pony is best pony hehe.
Tried my hand at aurora's (haven't painted them since Happy Birthday Mom ) and I def like this style much more.
I hope you love this image TrinitySilph , I had alot of fun painting Nox Caelo!
