I'm just gonna apologize for the neck now, the makeup kind of rubbed off onto the suit during the course of the day, and for such a small con, i didn't bring my touch-up kit

Ah! the bodysuit is just a Unitard
I highly recommend a legit Dance unitard instead of a Zentai or morph suit. I've done both, but the material in the Capezio (my dance unitard) is much more durable, and its a lot more breathable so it's less of a pain to wear at summer cons.
The overlay I took a really big t-shirt and cut it diagonally, and since my sewing machine was broken at the time and I had made hims 3 days before otakon 2013 i painted the detailing after i finished off the hem (if you can't sew, use fabric glue to finish your edges)). On the inside side of the overlay I put the coarse side of a wide velcro strip, and put the softer parts onto the suit so the overlay would lay flat. ((the softer parts evetually fell off because this cosplay is nearly two years old and im actually alot curvier in person than in pictures where i was wearing my binders and something around my hips to make me look more masculine))
You can skip the soft-side of the velcro if you like, it will adhere to the suit.
the only downside is that after doing this for a long time the area where the velcro was will have little fuzzy bits from wear.
