Chapter One -Fit for Royalty

It was going to be a busy weekend for Candy and his family. Because of the game taking a while for the level to load they might have to plan and construct the buildings and race tracks.
In the Throne room, Candy was sitting comfortably in his royal car. In his hand was a cotton candy quill and was ticking things as he goes on his list of things to do written on candy paper.
-“Wynchell , Duncan, everything set for the week ahead?”
-“A-OK, your majesty.”
-“Village square?”
-“check.”
“Race track.”
-“yep.”
“Diet Cola Mountain.”
-“Almost, it seems to be taking a while to upload.”
Candy takes down the information on the list. He looks up to think and strokes his chin with the cotton candy quill. “ OK, well make sure someone looks at that right away and is the audience stands and citizens occupied for the Random Roster Race?”
-“Yep.”
-“Well, notify the racers to get their cars ready, we don’t want any accidents happening on the first day.”
-“Yes, Your majesty.”
The soldiers saluted to him, took the list with them and left the castle. The King was exhausted; he lied back on his car and rubbed his eyebrows, sighing deeply. “So much to do.”
Suddenly , he felt a hand resting on his shoulders , he got a chill at first but he felt it untangling the knots in his back. The pain was somewhat relaxing to him, next he heard Cotton.
-“Ooh, sweetheart, you’re so stressed being King and all, putting the game’s problems on your shoulders.” The King sighed closing his eyes peacefully. “It’s not that, our little Vanellope is going to be having her first race, yet she hasn't practiced, what do we do about that?” –“She’ll pick it up; she’s your daughter after all.”
-“Yeah, you’re right. Speaking of Vanellope, where is she?” The Queen looked up at the front door, she pondered. “I believe she’s visiting the other racers, you know she needs to make friends you know.”
She pecked the King’s head with a kiss. They both looked at each other as they held hands. The king was no longer stressed, but excited. He felt much better. He tightened his grasp on her hands when an exciting idea came to him. “Come on! Lets go and have a small race together, just the two of us!” The Queen clapped her hands and giggled like a schoolgirl. “That’s a splendid idea! Something to get our mind off of things.”
And with that, she went to the back to get herself ready. The King placed on his gloves, applied his helmet and goggles and started his car. With a sharp turn, he opened the hatch to outside the castle and by a heartbeat both King Candy and Queen SugarCotton were racing together out in the open.
They were having the time of their lives!
They were reliving the day that made them royalty…
The day they feel in love.
