The idea was to have only one bar. So you don't loose any screen real estate.
Double-Clicking on a tab brings up the navigation bar.
Inspiration got from the likes of

Not sure about the entire concept but the back/forward buttons are simply amazing!

The divider between the back and forward buttons is very sharp, but, overall, this is a very nice idea. Obviously, having any more than three or four tabs open (depending on your resolution) would cause the tabs to get waaay too small. Also, I think the close button for each tab would look a lil cleaner if it was just an X that appeared on hover (without the square). Again, very good, though. I like the close caption button.

second with sharp you mean it's too sharp? because actually now that I look at it again I'm thinking it should be a little lighter
third about the close button yeah would probably be cleaner but on click I think the one in the preview works great
and at last the close caption button I tried to mimic the one seen in vista because I wanted to create a UI that ties in nicely with the windows UI and I quite like the outcome

No problem. About the divider, it just looks a little pixelated. I think making it more transparent or maybe using a light grey with layer blending modes.
