Description
I really could've probably sunk a lot more time into this, but... I was like how expressive it was turning out, so I decided to put it down and call it done before I killed it. I find I do my best work if I'm working quickly and having fun, the moment I take it too seriously, or focus too intently I start to kill it with details. It's a bunch of people dancing while being coated with foam. I had a difficult time capturing the look of the foam, and had a lot more luck capturing it with more-or-less decorative stroke from a pencil than I did with the oil.
I thought the idea of them being covered in foam was very... much like a bath. Which... I thought in turn was kind of roman. Hence the title "foam rome"
I'd say I spent about an hour on this one.

i love this drawing. i think the foam is really a weird concept but im all for weird! i agree with how doing less can make it more expressive!!
