Darkness invokes the heart of man,
shadows stand warily by your side.
In light eternal, none can stand,
self-same shadows ne’er run and hide.

To laugh, to live, to love for what.
A happless melody?
For none shall stand, not one shan’t fall;
Sardonic ecstasy.

To live in light of life’s true worth,
Grasp nimbly at the air;
The crystal nimbus hangs e’er still,
‘til life no more is fair.

And here we find our battered friend
through wind, and rain, and stone doth stand,
Melodic serenity shan’t hold
Within his weary hand.

Can one not change a single hour
Into the next by thought?
A moment caught in frozen time,
Destruction now hath wrought.

True forms reprive within this shell;
Traverse the sodden land.
One shan’t find which what you seek,
Midst stolen contriband.

Seconds, minutes, moments more
Doth in your ears replay,
A lulling melody for sure,
Your life in grave will pay.
