GAHHHH Finally! I was having a lot of trouble with this page but I love the way it came out. For someone who hates/isnt good with drawing backgrounds, Im actually proud of that second panel. But my my, it seems we have him thinking to much again. I did change the thought bubbles from what I normally do, this way it looks cleaner and easier to focus on. EDIT: Ok, I know people are still waiting for Torn Reality to come back, but its on a LONG TERM hiatus. Maybe I'll get back to it someday, but right now I have other projects and work to do. Sorry to anyone who was waiting patiently

ProxyComics I was wondering how you got so good at drawing? did you go to school or just kept drawing and if you had any tips

I'm a self taught artist. I've never been to an art school, but I do practice whenever I get the chance to. I use a lot of live references and even use my own anatomy as an example in characters I draw. I'd recommend doing that to learn more about how people bend and muscles work (for humans and animals alike).
Another thing, its usually best to focus. Say you really like drawing people, but you just cant get their faces right. Focus on drawing faces for a while until you're happy enough to move onto the next thing, like torso, hands, ect. I have a lot of trouble with colors, so I like to focus on that more lately. I use examples and color pallets to refine what I know and save it for later experimentation.
Of course every artist is different. Some take classes, I know that can help people get more into it by adding a schedule to it. I know other artists prefer sketching the same drawing for years until they see change. It really depends on you. The only thing in common with every artist, practice. Practice will get you farther than any technique. Just keep working at it, you'll get better, you just need to be patient and know it will take a long time to get to where you want to be, but it'll be worth it.
