I've been asked to do the poster for a musical theatre showcase. They want drawings of characters from the musicals featured in the show.I thought it might be a nice idea to have them all in a sort of, "waiting to audition" queue.
i might add some more characters in, any suggestions who, and what they should be doing?
other shows include: west side story and avenue Q
why Inspector Javert what lovely legs you have in those shorts.

Javert is just...too cavalier and smug looking for my life! I would have wanted to see Enjolras or Gavroche in this one though

Oh, this is fun! The poses are all really active and great. I especially like the Hairspray gals and Inspector Javert, not losing his stoic composure even when showing up in sweatshorts for an audition. Phantom's looking a little Zorro-esque; did he decide to wear his "Don Juan Triumphant" costume? Hmmm... maybe if you add West Side Story, you could have Tony and Maria being on opposite sides of the lineup, but trying to make eyes at one another or blowing a kiss or something. Also, maybe if you add Ave. Q, Audrey II could be biting someone's puppet-wielding hand? I like this pic a lot; if you change or add anything, post it again, please!!!

West Side story.. hm... I don't know if there is a way to depict them practicing their snapping in a drawing, is there? XD
What song are they singing for Avenue Q? and totes the Bad Idea Bears always crack me up.

you know, I was thinking of having the bad idea bears off to the right calling people into audition. they are singing i wish i could go back to college from Q. Yeah, that's right. I called it Q to be cool; and i think now, I am slightly regretting it.

Definitely the Bad Idea Bears. O think it'd be pretty great if Audrey II was eating one of the "Q" puppets.
Like.. if Audrey II yanked one of Avenue Q puppets off of a random guy's hand while they were waiting in line. The image of that amused me.
This picture is already ridiculously epic. It makes me want to draw one too. I really wish I had a cool style of my own! I should develop one... Hmm..

oh. my. god. Javert in shorts just made my day. It be kinda funny if you drew the puppets from Avenue Q with their puppeteers attached
And with the Phantom's pose, i have this unholy image of him leaping across the stage with the Jets/Sharks in a dance call audition.

you could add rod either doing warm ups, flirting with a man, or reading his favorite book- Broadway Musicals of the 1940's.

Ahaha this is fantastic. From West Side Story, it would be hilarious to see some of the dancing, finger-snapping gang members rehearsing their routine.
