Ewww. She looks like a he. Hmmm... a drag queen perhaps?I think it's the scary eyebrows and the gross eyes. Not thrilled with how this came out.
The nose, horrible. And no, that is not a wart or pimple. Supposed to be a nose ring.
Next time, I should go for a simpler angle, or not drawing anything at all.

I think your technique of using textured highlights on photoshop is absolutely top-notch. I noticed it in images like Black Thunder (which, far from looking lazy, adds a great deal of motion and vibrancy to the image), and I think you've implemented it really well here. The highlights on the cloth are very eye-catching, the colour-range you've selected is very effective, with nothing jarring or over-riding the rest, and the hair is...just...excellent! So don't do yourself down so much!

The colour of her hair really sets off her eyes. Pretty

I really enjoy how you do silky fabrics, and how you almost always have similar colors to draw your eye (like the magenta rim of hood - lips, and the hair - main part of cloak) And you really need to stop worrying about gender so much- it doesn't really make a difference whether it's a guy or a girl, it's just the feeling and look you're getting across that does. The nose is fine, too. It's far more realistic than most noses people draw (including myself), with them being the width of a pencil.

The angle is kind of weird, but the only way to learn how to draw it like that is trial and error, right? It's better than what I'm afraid my pictures might look like at angles. Uhuhu... angles. *shudder*

Lipstick, headband, hair. That shine is just plain rockin'. Nah, it's a masculine She, but a she none the less. ^_^ I think we're all just used to seeing those she-males all over the site. ^^ But good work with those eyes - you can feel the glare. ^^

Woah, that's so cool. When I first looked at it, I was scared. Not because it was ugly, but rather it is powerful. The eyes, there's just something about the eyes. They really pull you in. And it's like she's looking right at you!
Moreover, I knew it was a woman. So yeah. *nods*
But I do see how it could also look like a man. I think it's beacuse of the facial structure. It's real rigid and wide, traits usually used on male faces. The detail in the neck and above the chest are also fairly hard-lined.
But other than that, I think it's very nice. *nods* Yeah, that's my good-points/bad-points for ya. ^^'

I appriciate when people tell me the good and the bad of a peice, so I attempt to do the same as well. In fact, I much rather people say "This need to be fixed" than they're saying "Wow, I really like it." I want to improve work much more than I want to be flattered. *shrugs* But that's just me. ^^'

You chose an interesting color scheme. You would think the colors would look awful together but you pulled them off really well.
The layout is nice, the way she's off centered and coming out of the page.

nice closeup of a face! You really did the details of the face nicely, like the dark-glarey eyes. great job shading her neck and collar bone! That's some good detail there. I love how your characters have great hair color! I like all the shades of blue in the hair. I think you pulled off the difficult angled-pose really well. props to you!

There's actually some REALLY cool things to this. You're really getting your shading down, you just need to learn how to apply it to other areas. That nose is INCREDIBLE. Look at it, it's really coming forward, toward the viewer, sticking off the picture plane. The collarbone looks incredible too, and the purple cloth is really shimmering, very lovely. There are some odd elements to it, but you're doing a great job challenging yourself. You've got individual things down, the nose is gret, the lips are great, but you've just not quite been able to make them work together. Keep pushing yourself, it's the way you're going to improve.

Very nice-way too hard on yourself
A pretty cool scratchy on the hair and the eyes, whilst a soft fabric texture for the clothes
The hair is really nice and that shade of blue is definitely the right colour for it
A little masculine looking as you said, but I wouldn't put it as badly as that-the figure just has heavy set eyes and looks much more scowly, still keeping an heir of femininity about her in a fantasy gypsy sort of look
Don't let one dis-satisfied attempt put you off your drawing, you clearly have a lot of talent, and if ya don't try the more adventurous shots, I guess you'd never know
