Great image! It reminded me at first of Dorian Cleavenger's The Sanctum (NSFW!), which I mean entirely as a compliment. There is a great atmosphere to this, and excellent work on the props on the altar and the bones on the floor, too.

I had the idea from a book, but there it was an ugly old female orc shaman.

Yeah, I think it was Stan Nicholls' book. It's not a book I would read twice now, but somehow I was inspired by it when I wanted to do something with this demon character and the chains.

It worked out very well! Nicholl's books didn't get the best reviews, and I cannot say I enjoyed it all that much myself, but it's great that it inspired you to do this image.

If I remember correctly, there was something similar somewhere in the book series "The Malazan Book of the Fallen". Which is one of my absolute fantasy favourites.
