Description
Actually I wanted to show you something else today, a picture I am quite enthusiastic about. Unfortunately I had to realize that the typical render time of 7h overnight is not enough and now I have to look when I can run it ~12h or so. It is simply too "dark", iray needs eternally. Therefore there is now another perspective of a picture from last year. Here's first picture:

Pure awesomeness, love the camera angle and how it really enhances the danger and mood. So many great details in this scene

Yes, in the book I believe an orc or troll shaman sacrifices a human in this way. Must have been very memorable, because it must have been 15 years ago when I read it.

That's a shame about the limits of Iray, but this is great. The lighting is excellent, but it's that perspective that really stands out. The composition adds so much to the theme.

Yes, but I like the "realistic" look of iray much better, so I have to go through it somehow. Probably get a render while I'm working, then I'll be able to do 12-16h.
I'm glad you like it so much.

Awesome Succubus scene. Love the perspective of this picture; and the previous one. Like how the guy is chained up, on the sacrificial table: and his expression says everything, as the succubus is about to deliver a fatal blow, with her knife. Also, like the bones scattered around of her victims; and the book of magic, also nearby. Well done!

It is great when books, films, or games inspire us, to do art; as this book, has inspired you, to make the Succubus scene!
I have seen a few Succubus artworks before on Deviant Art or Facebook, but there are many, which sort of show the character in a more friendly and kind way, instead of cruel.
But, in reality. They are meant to be demon women, who make love to their victims and then literally suck the life force out of them. So, I think the idea of the sacrificial table and knife works very well, with this type of character.
Wishing you a great Monday and a productive week!

Yes, basically we are inspired by all impressions, but in the end we usually don't know exactly what the idea was made up of in the end. In that case, it was clear to me.
As a small easter egg, the man on the table is the unofficial DAZ model that Geralt is supposed to represent from the Witcher series. So the one who kills the succubi in the books and games. I only changed his hair.
Thanks, I wish you a nice week too!

That sounds cool, to put in your own Witcher Easter egg, into the artwork. I like playing the Life is Strange games; and they tend to put a lot of Easter eggs in too of different tv programmes or games.
Have a lovely Tuesday and an excellent week!

Life is Strange 2 is meant to be in the same universe, but with different character. There is a currently a free demo out called 'The awesome adventures of Captain Spirt', where you play a 10 year old child, who imagines himself as a superhero. I haven't finished playing it yet, but it reminds me of my childhood. Also, cool, when you see his powers animated; and then later realise; that it is all in the kids imagination. I'm hoping at the end of the story, he might actually get real powers though. But, we will have to see. Some people in my LIS group think that the new story might be about the Chris, after he has grown up.
Have a great Thursday!

I played the free mini-game right on the day it came out. It's only two hours.
However, there were a few hints in the game that might also point to other possible topics.
We will see. I could identify well with Max, so I'm not sure if part 2 touches me as well or not.

If you haven't played all the episodes of Life is Strange, then I suggest you do. It get pretty crazy towards the end; and a lot of developments, in the storyline.
Yes, I was a bit swayed, with it not having Max in it, as she was my favourite character of the game, with her rewind quality. But, I think this kid called Chris is pretty cool, as a character. I am hoping that his imagined super powers will become real, in Life is Strange 2, as I believe the demo is meant to attach somehow to the new story.
I hope you have had a great week. Wishing you a fun Saturday and a lovely weekend!

Yes, I have played all Life is Strange episodes and the prequel. Unfortunately, only once.
Max was introverted and a photographer, which suits me a little, so I liked her even more and could identify with her.
Then we are curious about part 2 and what it will be about. But like I said, I'm not buying it until all the episodes are out. The cliffhanger are too exciting for me.
Thanks, have a nice week.

It is always worth playing the games again. Because sometimes, you notice Easter eggs, or different dialogue, from changing your actions. I also like the theories, which fans would come out with; concerning the characters. I always wanted Life is strange to continue, where it left off. When Max smiled at Chloe funeral, at the end of the game. It could have just been her seeing the butterfly; and knowing that Chloe was well, in another existence. But, I always wondered, if she had thought up another way, where she could save Arcadia Bay; and also Chloe. I thought Life is strange 2 could have been Max using her powers more proficiently; with more experience of time travel. And, that Samuel would be like the father of time. Who would become like the Yoda to Luke in Star Wars. But, he would tell Max, how she could change things, without causing the chaos effect. But, it looks like there are new characters. I have noticed the odd like Easter Egg in the demo of 'The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, which point back to Blackwell, or Chloe and Rachel, when they went off on the train. So, even if the characters are all knew. I am sure, they will be mentions of Chloe and Max in there, somewhere.
I never really understood, why there wasn't three options though. You could have saved both Arcadia Bay and Chloe; if only you could have used the dark room. Because, we know from a letter; that it was a storm bunker, underground. So, they could have all just gone there, instead of the dinner; and survived the destruction; if things went back to normal, after the storm had passed.
I think I will do the same. And, wait until the full Life is strange episodes are out. I will just have to make sure; that I don't get any spoilers from the people in my LIS group, while I wait!
Have a lovely Monday and a great week!

I have quite a few games on the ToDo list, so I rarely get to play one game twice.
So I only knew the other end, I chose Chloe. I read what the alternative was afterwards.
I don't think they wanted a third possibility, so no "happy end" to give the decisions more weight.
Basically it was almost disappointing that, as so often in games, you have to decide at the very end and all the decisions before that have little or no effect.
Luckily I'm not in any Facebook groups or similar, so hopefully the spoiler danger is not so big for me. This is more dangerous with various TV series, as my colleagues there talk far too often.

Yes, I guess it is difficult to fit in games: and then have the time, to replay them.
It was a bit annoying; that there was only two choice, so everything you had done beforehand; didn't really matter. Despite them telling you; that your choice had consequences. Although, I didn't want to do it, I had to sacrifice Chloe, as I had to put the old strategy. Of one, to save a whole town. But, on my first play through, I wanted to save Chloe, and Arcadia Bay; and even Rachel, by using my time travel powers. But, sadly that was not to be. If I ever find a way, to mod the game, I might make my own animation up. How I would have liked to see it end!
It is good, if you aren't in any LIS Facebook groups. But, yes. It is all too easy, for someone to spill the beans, on what is happening on a TV programme, when you need to catch up on it! Enjoy your day!

So lang nix komplett überbrennt.
