I've been itching to upload something, but everything is in an odd state of W.I.P. The kind of W.I.P. I'm iffy about showing off. Doh!But I've been working on a Wasteland Survival Guide comic depicting Dimitri's actions throughout that whole quest, because thinking back on it all makes me giggle XD. Here's a finished bit that keeps making me snicker, mostly due to Dimi's face in the second panel XD.
The molerat one took me by surprise. The whole book quest was one of the first things I did in the game, so I had no idea what to expect with certain things. Upon whacking a molerat with the stick, I was all 'Damnit, Moira, your stick doesn't work! Bwah!' because it continued to attack
..and then the molerat's head exploded and I was all
Ew.
Poor Dimi, such horrible things to go through when she's so 'green' XD

Theoretically any weapon, no matter how weak, can give you a critical hit. However, sometimes that isn't as nice an outcome as you might think!

that happens from time to time, yep... mole rats will explode from time to time... indeed its a fact of life; a uncertain; yet at the same time, somehow certain; eventuality in the microcosm known as the "fallout universe" (inhale) i guess i will just stop talking now.

At first, I just whacked them a bunch of times and flying body parts aren't a big deal with the "Bloody Mess" perk.
Then I hit one once, and ran Looking back. Its head smoked, then exploded. Like having a frag mine in your pants...
