But seriously though.... Fairy Roots does have a lot of hallmarks of the whole 'naiive woman comes to work for rich ceo who she ends up dating, also he's a werewolf or something' subgenre of romance.

Things you might not know: Earth is on 'lockout' from the other planets, as its magical field is very weak and unstable and the Otherworlders - most of whom are magical - blame Earthlings wrecking up their environment and using iron and technology and whatnot so don't want none of that mess. So you can't about Otherworld stuff openly, it's against the law.
'Dark King' is just the short version of Tyrian's title - King of the Dark Realm of Fairyland. Old timey Earthlings mistook it to mean the devil and that whole business with Queen Hel demanding tithes and people to chomp on didn't help AT ALL. But it isn't that.
It's the same for the other kings/queens - Light King/Queen, Dark King/Queen, Wild King/Queen. Can be applied to the princes/princesses as well, and no, there being a 'dark prince' didn't help matters either.

...Even having said the above, I did still have much fun writing this:
