I like the Windows button. I've been going down that same direction.
How come you have the task bar shortened to one side?
Are your focusing more on the desktop or is this intended for touch devices like tablets as well?

Thank You. The Task Bar is shortened to remove all the empty space. If the UI could adapt to lengthen (or shorten) as a program shows up (or disappears) from in the Task Bar, all the extra empty space could be removed. This is intended for the desktop, but I think the Task Bar could easily adapt to a tablet environment in the same manner as an app switcher on a mobile platform.
